JOSH SMITH BECOMES THE FIRST SLFA STUDENT TO MAKE HIS FIRST TEAM DEBUT
Congratulations to Chesham United’s Josh Smith for making his first team debut last night against Newport Pagnell Town.
The Chesham United academy captain becomes the first ever Southern League Football Academy student to make an appearance for their sides first team and the 53rd to do so out of all ESPFA students overall.
The 16-year-old made his first appearance as a second half substitute in Chesham United’s 3-1 defeat last night in the Berks & Bucks FA Senior Cup.
Smith has really impressed so far this season and will go down in the history books as the first of hopefully many students who will make the step up into senior football from our academies.
Well done Josh, thoroughly deserved.
