With a full quota of fixtures going ahead this week with six teams in action, #MatchweekFourteen in the SLFA season was filled with action, late game drama and some brilliant goals!

Sutton Coldfield Town increased their lead at the top of the table to six points after beating Yate Town 3-2 at home. Two early goals from Tomas Kidane and Etakah Bessem plus another before half time from Ellis Turley meant Sutton were going in at the break ecstatic with a 3-0 lead. Yate Town did not roll over though, and continued to push for goals in the second half. A brilliant free kick from Keane Ashwood and a tidy finish from Ali Albouti towards the end of the second half restored some pride back to the Bristol side but they couldn't find an equaliser. Chesham United recorded their first victory of the campaign after a rampant 1-5 victory over Frome Town. Chesham will be pleased to have moved off bottom spot and leap frogged Frome after Callum Gerrards hat trick helped them to victory. In the final game of the week, Swindon Supermarine hosted Kidlington and looked to get revenge on the visitors, who knocked them out of the SLFA Cup. The points were split on this occasion with the teams drawing 1-1. Both teams will be frustrated with not finding a winner but a draw was probably a fair result. Kidlington remain in third spot in the league table, now just two points behind Rushall and Swindon remain in fourth.

With six teams in action and a whole host of brilliant performances, #TeamOfTheWeek was very closely contested. Congratulations to all players nominated and selected by their coaches and a special mention to Callum Gerrard of Chesham United who was named as 'Player of the Week!' for #MatchweekFourteen after scoring a hat trick that helped his side to a 1-5 win over Frome Town, their first victory of the season.

Catch all the action from #MatchweekFourteen, including a brilliant strike from Swindon Suprmarines Alex Smith, plus all the goals and match highlights from a brilliant week in the SLFA in this weeks edition of The Highlights Show!
